TruRead has developed the ‘Safir’, a stand-alone, next generation GSM Data Logger for use in Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) applications. This new advanced data logger allows for economical data retrieval of remote data and is also able to collect data for long periods with no supervision or maintenance. The Safir is designed to be very power efficient and will operate in harsh environmental conditions.
Safir is intended for remote collection of data from Industrial and commercial gas and water meters although could be used for domestic applications.
When attached to meters with a suitable pulse output, the system will offer the ability to log consumption of Gas, Water and Electricity. The recorded data is time and date-stamped by an internal real time clock. This data can be periodically transmitted by an SMS Message at user defined intervals and can be reprogrammed remotely.
SMS is currently the most popular format as it is cheap, reliable, requires less GSM signal strength.

- Monitors up to 2 pulse inputs and 2 two tamper inputs or alternatively 4 pulse inputs.
- Temperature measurement.
- Data capture can be from 5 minutes upwards.
- Data is sent at intervals of 6 hours, Daily, Weekly or Monthly.
- Unique install functions allow for very fast and easy set-up.
- Internal Antenna.
- Alarms to indicate high or low usage.
- AMR Logger can be installed in hazardous areas (zone 0).
- Replaceable battery offering 5 to 10 year battery life (10 years with daily SMS).
- Sensitive internal Antenna reduces the need for external antenna’s and creating antenna locations.
- External antennas can be supplied on request for areas with very bad GSM coverage.
- Only 2 screws need to be removed to insert your SIM card or change the battery.
