TruRead was founded by managing director Simon Slater and is the result of vast knowledge and expertise from both the Utilities sector and IT Systems Development Sector, the core of which is Datamere Software Ltd.
Datamere, a multi-award winning company which provides its brand leading solutions to many Utility Suppliers, created the concept which is now TruRead, in 2002.
TruRead was established with its sole focus entirely on providing a managed data service through AMR. The commitment from the outset was to provide more for less. More actual, accurate and timely readings, less cost and process conflicts.
In March 2008 Gazprom Marketing & Trading saw the potential in TruRead and invested into it. As Gazprom M&T supply gas to most of the UK suppliers it could also see the synergy in helping suppliers control their gas usage more accurately.
TruRead is now firmly established in the UK as one of the leaders in its field. It also has a future technology roadmap to constantly improve and offer innovative services to its customers
